Introducing Luciditi Digital Credentials – the highly secure and digitally verifiable replacement for printed ID, Membership and Certification Cards!

Use your Luciditi App to hold digital credentials on your phone rather than in your wallet.

Digital credentials replace physical card presentation with a forgery-proof “digital card” that can be quickly verified by anyone using a smart phone camera. You can also use the Luciditi App to scan a credential in-app and record the action in your activity list.

Supports offline access to saved credentials so that you can use them even when not connected to the internet.

  • The ‘primary’ credential us accessible by single tap on home page selfie (replacing access to my data)
  • Access credentials offline from the Sign In page
  • Verify credentials using home page QR scanner
  • Credentials verified outside Luciditi using native camera will open in Luciditi display custom credential page
  • Anti forgery codes and symbols displayed on presentation device and also accepting device – these will always match

Other changes include:

  • Added ability to click (or scan QR code) from the account registration/re-registration email and be taken directly to the registration page, bypassing main menu options.
  • Support for additional ID document types (mainly updates to international passports).  249 countries supported at this time.

– Team Luciditi

1.12 – 21st November 2022

In this release we have introduced support for “Luciditi Sign In” our brand-new ID-backed passwordless authentication service which makes passwords a thing of the past, improves security and generally makes life better! Unique “passwordless keys” are stored securely on-device or optionally on another for even greater security.

Businesses can use the Luciditi SignIn SDK to add passwordless authentication to their own applications. Users login using their biometrically secured Luciditi App rather than using passwords, taking security of your important sites to a whole new level. The SDK has been designed as a low-code cross-platform approach (requiring less than a dozen lines of boiler-plate code) to achieve passwordless security with minimal time and effort.

Other changes include:

  • Ability to scan all Luciditi generated QR codes from a mobile camera in addition to within the Luciditi app
  • General performance enhancements
  • Support for additional ID document types (mainly updates to international passports)

– Team Luciditi

1.11 – 8th September 2022

An updated home page reflects the changes we have made to support both data request and data sharing.

The Activity option shows a list of both shares and requests with a yellow ‘type’ badge differentiating between the two actions.

The new Share and Request option provides a new layout to separate requesting and sharing actions.  Requests are described as Instant (formerly Remote), In Person and Magic Link.  Shares are In Person only.

We have also updated the help text for each option to explain the differences more clearly between the actions.  Individual users (non-business) will see the Instant option but will not be able to use it unless their account is converted to a business account.

A new ‘Re-set and Re-Verify my ID’ option is available to accounts that have not passed ID verification or are about to expire.  This option can be set on-behalf of a business user by the organisations’ Luciditi administrator via the Manager Users option.

One-tap re-requesting of revoked data allows expired requests (Instant Request type only) to be conveniently re-submitted as a new request with a single tap.

We have also made changes to fonts and colours throughout the app for better legibility across differing device types and to match the look and feel of the new Luciditi web site.

– Team Luciditi

1.10 – 4th August 2022 (PRE-LAUNCH)

In this release we have introduced “badge sharing”. Accessible from the main menu (an icon to the right of the selfie) a time-sensitive QR code is generated which can be used to to share your details with other Luciditi users. Badges (as well as existing QR codes generated by in-person requests) can be scanned with a phone camera or using the Scan code option within the app.

The UI has been updated with a new home page, streamlined, more intuitive page navigation. QR codes have an animated border which indicate a live code rather than a screenshot.

User accounts generated by way of ID Verification in another app or system (embedded Luciditi) now have a fast onboarding flow in order to register their new account and pair it to a device.

– Team Luciditi

1.9 – 6th July 2021 (PRE-LAUNCH)

Our focus in this release has been to add new organisation management capabilities to the app so that those responsible within organisations are empowered to do more themselves and at any time. We’ve also improved overall performance and ironed out some minor bugs along the way. Onboarding for both organisational and individual users has also been improved allowing UK address lookup to the signup pages.

– Team Luciditi

ORGANISATION MANAGEMENT

Administrator and Organisations can now self-manage their own users, users data, availability of organisational data. User management replaces the existing Add User function with a managed view allowing tracking of users onboarded from invitation, signup and identity verification in real time. Whilst managers have access to user management, administrators are able to define what information is shared on the organisations behalf and if any or all of it is auto-responded to when users make direct or follow-up requests to the organisation or their users. Roll based access (RBAC) allows you to categorise users as Standard, Manager or Admin. When users leave your organisation you can mark them as inactive to prevent login. Inactive users can then be deleted which performs a GDPR safe permanent removal.

ADDRESS LOOKUP

Whether signing up for the first time or changing your home address after moving house, an automated lookup searches the entire UK address list as you type. Simply start typing your address and the list will narrow down to your own within a few keystrokes. Alternatively, type your postcode and select from the list. Either way, it takes the tedium out of the process and saves you time.

DEFAULT REVOKE

In the last version we introduced the ability to revoke access to your data at any time. Now every remote request made has a 3 month default expiry assigned to it making sure that Luciditi users don’t hold onto it for longer than they need.

USEABILITY

We’ve made usability and UI improvements across the board (far too many to mention) to make the Luciditi app as easy to use as possible regardless of user type.

Earlier Releases (Pre-Launch)

1.8 – 17th May 2021

REQUEST LIST

A brand new layout for the request list. The new tiled display clearly describes the details behind the request without you needing to open it, including whether you supplied data or received it from another party. It also shows the organisation thumbnail as well as an icon depicting the type of request (remote, in person, magic link, follow-up).

REVOKE ACCESS

Immediately prevent access to your data in real-time. If you have supplied some data, you can now, at any time, revoke access to that request. The tile will indicate that it has been revoked. The recipient of your data will no longer see your data. If they are looking at it when you revoke, it will disappear instantaneously! This gives you even more control over your own data and allows you to change your mind or decide someone no longer needs access to it.

WIRELESS ePASSPORT SCANNING

(for iPhone 7 + above, iOS 12.5 + above, and Android devices supporting NFC) read your ePassport (eID & eDL) wirelessly via NFC in order to obtain the data stored on the passports’ electronic chip. The BSI certified scanning capability means it’s impossible for someone to fake a passport which strengthens the security of the Luciditi network even further.

SELF-ATTESTABLE DATA

You can now store and certify your own data items. Externally certified data types are (of course) excluded but there are many other useful items such as:

– Credit Card
– Bank Account
– National Insurance Number
– Social media details
– plus several more

Use Luciditi to securely share primary data with an intended recipient without the chance of mistyping or having your information re-directed by fraudsters. As with all data you hold in Luciditi you have the ability to remove access to it at any time. Any data that you add can be edited or deleted using the icon to the left of the verified badge. Head over to My Data and click Add Data at the bottom of the page.

DATA ITEM DISPLAY

Data items that contain less important information (such as country code, origin etc) are now collapsed with +more / -less making data easier to read and less cluttered.

DATA ITEM ORIGIN

Data items that are captured from a trusted source (like passport) now have an additional origin property to confirm document source and the type of scan used to capture them (Scan or NFC).

REMOTE ONBOARDING

Introducing a new remote onboarding experience for 3rd party apps and services allowing them to embed the power of Luciditi’s in-built identity verification into their sign up or ID verification process in place of expensive face to face manual document inspection. A dedicated landing page on Signup and a Call-back on completion allow tight integration and a collaborative, frictionless experience for any app or service. Suitable for Age-restricted apps, HR for remote employee on-boarding, financial services KYC, Health Systems patient verification – in fact anywhere where remote identity verification is required. Contact sales@luciditi.co.uk if you would like further information.

MAGIC LINKS

Updated link expiry times now range from 1 hour to 1 month.

SIDE MENU

We’ve relocated the Verified Identity section within ‘About’ to its own ‘Identity’ menu. From here you can also re-verify your existing passport if it was originally scanned rather than read wirelessly (which applies to all users prior to this version).
